Abstract

This study explores the spiritual culture of the Uzbek people, focusing on the preservation and transformation of family traditions and customs in modern society. While much research has been conducted on the historical aspects of these traditions, there remains a significant gap in understanding their contemporary relevance and adaptability. To address this, the study employed qualitative methods, including interviews and discussions with historians, folklorists, and community elders. The findings reveal that Uzbek family traditions are deeply rooted in both cultural and religious values, playing a crucial role in maintaining social cohesion and fostering moral values in the younger generation. The research highlights that, although these traditions are adapting to modern influences, they continue to hold significant importance in contemporary society. The study concludes that family traditions are not only essential for preserving national identity but also for ensuring social stability in the face of modernization. The results suggest that further research is needed to explore the younger generation's attitudes toward these traditions and to develop strategies for integrating them with modern societal demands, ensuring their continued relevance and practice.
