Abstract
This article highlights the significance of the rare book fund in preserving scientific and cultural heritage. Rare books are not only invaluable sources reflecting national history and culture but also serve as a means of transmitting intellectual and cultural wealth to future generations. The article discusses the relevance of these funds, their preservation, and their role as a source for research. Modern technologies, particularly digitization processes, are shown to play a crucial role in safeguarding the physical condition of rare books and ensuring their effective use. Additionally, the article analyzes the contribution of the rare book fund to cultural and scientific progress and provides recommendations for their preservation.
