Abstract
The article examines the ideological principles and fundamentals of structuralism and poststructuralism, which are two interrelated but at the same time conceptually different approaches to the study of language, culture and society. Structuralism, asserting the centrality of structure as a defining element of language and symbolic system, focuses on identifying universal laws and rules governing semiotic processes, while poststructuralism emphasizes the instability of meanings, multiple interpretations and the relativity of cultural contexts that cause a powerful critical resonance to traditional forms of knowledge. This study seeks to synthesize these approaches, analyzing their mutual influence and impact on modern theoretical practice, which allows creating prerequisites for enriching the understanding of socio-cultural phenomena in their dynamism and diversity.
