Abstract
This article is dedicated to analyzing the political and social activities of Mahmudkhudja Behbudi. The article examines Behbudi’s role in the struggle against the colonial policy of Russia in Turkestan and his impact on contemporary issues. Behbudi, in his activities, primarily highlights the poverty and political weakness of the people of Turkestan as a result of colonialism. He sharply criticizes Russia’s colonial policy and calls for the people to gain education and legal knowledge. The article also analyzes Behbudi’s writings in which he expresses his opposition to Marxism and the Bolshevik party, considering their ideas harmful to the people of Turkestan. Behbudi promotes ideas for social and political reforms and offers his own Islamic approaches to improving the situation. The study also includes the high praise of Behbudi’s political and social activity by Fayzulla Khojaev. This article helps understand the relevance of Behbudi’s ideas in a modern context and emphasizes the importance of education and legal knowledge.
