Abstract

Women hold a special place in any society. The words of the wise, "If you educate a girl, you educate the whole family," call on women, who are active members of our society, to demonstrate their full potential even more vividly.

The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan recognizes men and women as equal citizens. No one should be subjected to legal discrimination, and everyone has the right to find their place in society. However, many unresolved issues remain in the matter of gender equality. Based on archival materials, information from periodicals, and scientific literature, this article attempts to analyze the reforms aimed at increasing women's participation in the public education system during the 1960s-1980s and their outcomes. This article was prepared within the framework of the applied project of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies No. AL-7823051605 "Creating an electronic platform "Gender Relations in Eastern Countries (100 Most Famous Women of the East")."
